Anywhr Wireless gives you permanent local phone numbers in every country you choose, from one device and one subscription. Making that work means handling some of your personal information — this page explains exactly what we collect, why, and who we share it with.

Who we are

Anywhr Wireless ("Anywhr Wireless," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at anywhrwireless.com, the account and billing platform at app.anywhrwireless.com, and the Anywhr Wireless mobile app (together, the "Service"). This policy applies to anyone who visits our website, signs up for an account, or uses our app.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: the email address you sign up with.
  • Your existing phone number: if you choose to bring your own number into Anywhr Wireless ("porting"), we collect that number and the information your current carrier requires to release it.
  • Identity verification documents: government-issued ID or similar documents, where a country's telecom regulator requires identity verification before a local number can be issued in your name.
  • Payment information: when you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Call and SMS metadata: the numbers, timestamps, and duration of calls and texts made through the Service, needed to route them correctly and bill you accurately. We do not record or store the content of your calls or messages.
  • Device and usage information: basic diagnostic data (app version, device type, crash reports) that helps us fix problems.

How we use it

We use your information to: provision and maintain your local phone numbers; route your calls, texts, and data; process payments and manage your subscription; complete identity verification required by local telecom regulators; communicate with you about your account; and improve the reliability of the Service.

Third-party providers

We rely on a small number of specialist providers to deliver the Service, and your information is shared with them only as needed to do so:

  • Twilio — provides the underlying phone numbers, call/SMS routing, and the identity verification (KYC) required to issue numbers in each country.
  • Stripe — processes your subscription payments. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the card data it collects directly from you.
  • Supabase — securely hosts our account database and authentication.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Data retention

We keep your account and call/SMS metadata for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes. Identity verification documents are retained only as long as required by the relevant telecom regulator, then deleted.

International transfers

Because Anywhr Wireless provides local numbers around the world, your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including by the providers listed above. We take steps to ensure it's protected wherever it's handled.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and post material changes here.
